There she encounters an anti-Congress group and ends up helping them to steal a file from a Congress data centre. The file contains the code for a deadly terminator virus but no one can decipher it. Only just ahead of Security, the group escapes through the flooded tunnels under the London Docklands and heads for New Orleans - a city slowly drowning under the rising seas and the place of the deadly gene's manufacture. As the hurricane of the century bears down on the sinking city, Irith struggles to crack the secret of the terminator virus and destroy it, before it wipes out all of humanity.
