Julia McKenzie.
Appearances can be deceiving and never more so than in the case of Miss Marple, Agatha Christie's spinster sleuth. She may look like a sweet old lady, but her demure hat and sensible tweeds conceal a superior intelligence and steely resolve. And although her eyes twinkle, they don"t miss a clue. Julia McKenzie gives an outstanding performance, perfectly capturing Agatha Christie's iconic amateur detective - and the innocent exterior which harbours a razor- sharp mind.
A Caribbean mystery: "When the death of a fellow guest interrupts her Caribbean respite, Marple must unpick a web of deceit and dark magic".
Greenshaw's folly: "Marple secures refuge for a friend at Greenshaw's folly but discovers it isn't the hoped for safe house as they soon find themselves in an even more deadly situation".
Endless night: "Tragedy strikes a young couple and Marple must solve the alleged curse of Gypsy's Acre, but in doing so she must put her own life in a very serious danger".
Rating: PG.
