Shane's father, Ron, also played Kenny's father in the film. But there's a lot more to "Kenny's" Dad than acting. Ron, now 75, grew up in the Depression and followed his parents around the rural shows in Victoria & NSW. His school years were packed with adventure and we can see how different life was in the 40's. After school Ron joined the public service and started playing district football and cricket. He also developed a lifelong passion for boxing, becoming an succesful trainer. This book also tells the stories of Ron's three wives - the first divorced, the second and third succumbing to illness. The book is packed with stories - some sad, some gripping, many funny - and Ron Jacobson's unique take on a full and fascinating life.
